I Heart Faces - Innocent Wonder
This week's theme at I Heart Faces is innocent wonder. My daughter wanted a mad science party for her fourth birthday. Instead of sending plain invitations, I decided to get creative with a photo invite. We got out some mason jars and vases, and filled them with colored water, glow sticks, and some dry ice. Other mason jars were filled with a little baking soda, and some bottles for icing cakes got filled with colored vinegar. Then we let her go at it. It made for a big mess in the kitchen, but lots and lots of fun and giggles. :)
Be sure to head over to I Heart Faces to see the other entries! :)

open hearts
One thing I've learned in life is that my mountain could be a heck of a lot steeper. You know...that mountain we all climb. That mountain called life. As a mother, my heart breaks for all of the children out there already having to climb a steep mountain. These little people already are fighting the fight of their lives. I thought I'd share some of the blogs that I follow. I pray for these little guys, and more prayers and happy thoughts couldn't hurt.
Aviana - My little girl's preschool friend, and Mom's former student. You can't help but fall in love with this little angel when you meet her.
Aidan - I heard of Aidan's fight against cancer on Regretsy. He loves monsters and is full of spunk.
Cooper - Cooper lives in the Bay Area and is fighting cancer like Aidan.
Daisy - Daisy is fighting against a recurring Wilm's tumor. Her daddy is a preacher at Reality church, and an author.
Christian - I found his blog through Aviana's. Christian suffered a brain injury due to a drowning accident.
Bevin - I forgot to add this one (blame it on the Vicodin, because it just slipped my mind.) Little Bevin is the daughter of a high school friend. She was recently diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.

Please send up your prayers, thoughts, and warm fuzzies for these brave kids and their families. They can use all of the strength, comfort, and caring that we can give.

I Heart Faces - Best of 2010
This week's challenge at I Heart Faces is the Best Faces of 2010. What a hard photo to pick! I had so many to pick from...but I think this is up there on the favorites list. I absolutely love this printed on metallic paper. We spent the day at the inlaw's houseboat, checking out the ducks and fishing. This is my little mini-me checking out the scenery. :)
Make sure to head over to I Heart Faces and check out the rest of the entries!
